Wind Chimes

You may have noticed the small wind chime I added to my blog in the upper right hand corner. Isn't it lovely? So peaceful. And to me, so much better someone else's favorite music. (What if I had my own music on? That's not to say I haven't ever discovered some great new music, or rocked out to someone's blog music; just some seems very obtrusive.)

I can't remember where I first came across the chimes, but it was a challenge for me to figure out how to install them, even with the page translated! So to save you the trouble of figuring it out on your own, I shall explain!

To get the windchimes, you head over to this site: KuruKuruParts Windchime

There you will find three scrolly text boxes, two with code in them: the first is the code for the one I have, the second is for the widget one displayed on that page, and the last (with no code) has the Terms of Use in it.

If you copy & paste the code from the first box onto your website, it will display a small ad, which you can see in my side bar underneath the one for Book Swim, and the windchime will show in the top right corner. The chime's picture will rotate at random through the ones shown on the site.

Yes it is that simple.

If you add it, let me know, I'd love to see! And I'd love to hear your opinions on *noisy* blogs (including mine)!

  1. love the windchimes. I may have to get some. I don't have the best hearing so even with my volume turned all the way up I can't really hear anything.
As for blogs with music, I don't like them at all. I've been surfing the net early in the morning trying to be quiet so as not to wake DH when (with volume at full blast) I stumble on a blog with music. Other than that I just find it annoying I don't know why, I like music but when i want to hear it and what I want to listen to not what someone else chooses.

OH I just heard the wind chimes...lol very subtle I like

  2. Your wind chimes are cool with me but I keep my speakers on the laptop turned down for the most part. Too many times I've been scared out of my wits by blog music! lol

  3. I love them and i am headed over to see if I can figure it out.

But I must admit the first time I heard them I thought I was losing my mind.

I kept looking all over and around me to see if the cats had were into something.

Then I thought it has to be my ceiling fan strings clanking. It took me a long time to finally figure out they were on your page.

I hope I can make it work! Thanks for the link!!

  6. It's not exactly attractive tho is it? If it were a pretty little dangle I might think about getting it.

  7. I agree that not all the danglies are attractive, Grace. I was rather disappointed that you couldn't select the specific image you wanted, but I still find most are pretty enough, and most of the time, I've scrolled down so I can't see it by the time it's loaded, but I can still hear the chime... ^-^
