Full Moon Dreamboard
Under the Full Frost Moon, allow that fresh chill in the air to wake you up to your dreams. Let creating your dreamboard be a clarifying act, bringing into focus the dreams that are in your heart. As you create your board, hold gently a request for clarity. Notice what is revealed. ~ Jamie Ridler
The Full Frost Moon asks:
What is clear about your dreams? What further clarity do you seek?

Click to embiggen...
The Full Frost Moon was a little over a week ago, and although I had collected images and words for it, I found myself under too much pressure in other areas of my life to concentrate on creating my dreamboard. Last night I had some breathing room and was able to finish.
I had selected a background page from a 2012 Audubon calendar of Pisgah National Forest, NC (Photo by Lori Kincaid), mountains all covered with frost, the valley deep with clouds, in honor of the Frost Moon. Then I trimmed my other images and words and started arranging them.
First thing I placed was the large photo of a hare statue on the left and the "garden" in the right corners. The "EASY LIVING," pretty little house and "sweet cottage dreams" fell into place along the bottom as well. I added the word "Safe" and the glittery red and green hearts later. In all my dreams, it's very clear to me that I need a home of my own, with a garden of course, in order to feel a sense of safety, to not feel on the verge of panic like a rabbit.
In the upper left corner on the side, the words "What I Want NOW!" and "What Really Matters--" give a sort of a title to the collage. Across the top, I arranged the words "Let the Sunshine In" and added "to shine all year" -- sunshine for me represents happiness and the good things in life. Another very clear dream for me; I've had enough rainy days, thankyouverymuch.
Along the right side I arranged words and phrases to say, "I am more than just a Successful Artist, I am Beautiful and at a Great place in Life." These words are an affirmation for me, dreams that I want to see become reality. And they are followed by the part that is somewhat unclear for me: "How to Do It," the reply to which was quite straight-forward: "get started" followed by "You Can Do It!" and a final glittery green heart.

Full Moon Dreamboard & Wishcasting Wednesday
I wasn't able to make my Full Moon Dreamboard yesterday, but it ties in so well with today's Wishcasting Wednesday, I thought it would be fun to do them together. Today's question from Jamie Ridler is...
"What Dream Do You Wish To Come True?"
~ I wish to support my family with my art.
~ I wish to have my art in books and galleries; on cards, stationery, stickers...
~ I wish to teach others that they can create art too. EVERYONE & ANYONE CAN!
~ I wish to succeed more than expected!
And the Full Sturgeon Moon asks:
“What is your intuition telling you about your dreams?”

Click to embiggen...
I chose an old calendar page from Christian Riese Lassen (click here to see the image in full), and started flipping through my magazines and scraps. The woman in the lower left came right out first, and the words just flowed around her.

Click to embiggen...
I really was surprized by how quickly everything came together. I found the card from Glidden that said "Start Painting" and the words around it right after.
Click to embiggen...

Click to embiggen...
Underneath that it reads:
Click to embiggen...
And what does my glamorous magical fortune teller have to say? "You adventure could lead to happiness." (Yes, bad grammar from a fortune cookie!) *giggle* But I can see in her eyes that, "I can succeed by getting support." I think my intuition is being pretty direct.
You can be a maker of magic and a tender of wishes. It’s easy. Answer the wish prompt on your blog and then add a direct link to your post in the box [at the link] below. Support wishes by visiting other participants, leaving a comment saying “As (insert name) wishes for her/himself, so I wish for her/him also.” It’s that simple. There is great power in wishing together.

Full Moon Dreamboard
The Full Flower Moon asks:
“How would you like to bloom? Who are you when you are in full bloom?”

Click to embiggen...
This month I chose a big hot pink lily in full bloom as my background. I am still working with Pink for a few more weeks, and this question also seems like one she would ask...

Click to embiggen...
Who am I when I am in full bloom? I am The Goddess of Magic, Mirth, and Mischief! Bubbly, festive, and fiendishly fun. I am a carefree spirit. I am love. I am sex.

Click to embiggen...
How would I like to bloom? With money made EASY. As ME.

Click to embiggen...
I would bloom with a summer state of mind, all year long. Reveling in sparkle & color!

Click to embiggen...
I would be full of giggles, wishes, and polka dot kisses, and filled with love, too.
What are you dreaming under this Full Flower Moon? This is the time when the buds have transformed into blooms, reminding us it is time to do the same. What are your full flower dreams? Who are you when you’re in full bloom? Let’s share our dreams and make beautiful magic together under the Full Moon! ~ Jamie Ridler

April Full Moon Dreamboard
Yesterday was the Full Flower Moon, and I made a dreamboard, but then I realized I never shared last month's dreamboard, so I thought I'd do that first!
I've been working through the Temple of the Twelve Experiential Journal for a while now (you can read more about it on my Temple of the Twelve blog.), and have been working with Lady Pink this month, so I thought it apropos that last month was the Full Pink Moon, which asked...
“What dreams is it time to tend?”
What are you dreaming under this Full Pink Moon? The name represents the pink flowers that so lavishly bloom in the spring. What an invitation to let yourself luxuriate in your dreams, embracing them passionately, sharing them magnificently and enjoying each precious bloom. ~ Jamie Ridler

For this dreamboard, I chose an old calendar page of a gorgeous pink water lily with a tiny green frog for the background, and I am sure you can tell that I was dreaming about the sweet summer life. Pink filled all the images I chose as well, or at least was featured. One of the first images I chose was the rabbit in the lower left that I tucked under the lily a bit; he symbolizes my dreams of having the time to stop and smell the flowers.
That dream is also echoed in the words at the top of the page, "Sweet Serenity" above the pink bikini-clad pool-lounging woman. Not only does she represent the dream of time to relax but also my dream of being healthy.
Between the rabbit photo and the top corner is another pink flower & rabbit which illustrate my dream of improving my art and painting adorable, delicate watercolors. In the top right corner, there is a little bee with a flower & heart, peeking from behind the lily again, which represents my honey, and my dream of making her happy. ♥
In the lower right corner, there is smiling woman (in a fabulously sequined top) offering a lollipop -- and the tiny frog has an ice cream cone! -- both symbolizing my dream of the sweet life, filled with laughter & joy, shiny-ness & sweets! ^o^
On the bottom, there is the word Aloha with its definition, representing both my dream to return to Hawaii someday, and my dream of more "affection, love, peace, and compassion" in my life. And finally the unicorn, wearing a wreath of fragrant flowers and love, she embodies my dream to always find the magic.
Check back later for the dreamboard I made yesterday!

Full Moon Dreamboard
The Full Worm Moon asks:
“What dreams are emerging? What’s stirring?”
Here is our moon tonight...
It was warm enough for me to try some shots with the new camera on the tripod,
but too cold & cloudy for me to take the time to get the *perfect* shot.
Still, I think it's beautiful...

Click to embiggen...
I did some reading up on why the moon is called this, and learned it's because this is when the ground unfreezes and softens - and gets quite soggy around here - which brings the worms to the surface; thus, the Full Worm Moon. So as I have been thinking about these questions for the past 2 weeks, I thought of the worms stirring in their winter burrows, pushing up from beneath, and wondered what dreams of mine have been doing the same: slumbering for a long while and just now emerging as the ground around them thaws...
This morning, I leafed through my old calendars and magazines, and created this:

Click to embiggen...
The page I chose was one from a Faeries calendar and featured one of my favorite images, "Spirit of the Night" by John Atkinson Grimshaw. I felt the image really represented the awakening of the world at this time of year, and I think the fairy does a good job of embodying the questions; as if she's waving her wand and looking down to see what's stirring beneath her, what dreams are emerging from below...

Click to embiggen...
Then I found the poem in the upper left corner, by Dorothy Morrison, in a Witches' Daybook from years ago, and it just seemed to fit perfectly with the full moon, my dreams, and the upcoming month of 'April showers'...

Click to embiggen...
Next to the poem, top & centered on the page, are the words, "Today I found my DRIVE" which symbolizes not just the fact that I am dreaming of find the perfect new-to-us car ASAP, but also that I find the strength & determination in me to push through my fears and get motoring on the big dreams I have.
Below that and to the left, is the text, "I've created great JOY," with an image of a woman obviously joyful, and perhaps laughing, perhaps praying and thankful for the great joy she's created.
And the words on the right say, "I'm the Goddess of Ease" expresses my dream that all these other dreams come to me with ease, and that life is stress-less and worry-free! ^-^
The jeweled spider and web above those words represent one of my totems, the spider, who leads me to create. The beautiful hanging lamps represent finding & creating beauty within my home, something I've not done much of since moving here many years ago...

Click to embiggen...
Above the words in this image (below "I've created great JOY") is the text, "Be Bold. Do it. Impress." And here you can just read, "I can push myself further. Shine." These are all reminders for me to do those things. Push past my fears. Be bold & daring. Do the things that scare me. Impress myself, and the people around me, with my incredible Shine. (And also a small reminder that the WeShine conference is not so far away!)
Then there is a photo of a desk: pencils and brushes in cups embody my art; the peonies, the messy abundance of beauty. Another photo in the bottom left corner is of a teacup full of jewelry & sparkly things, which suggests home (the teacup) being full of bright happy things, prosperous in both joy & money.

Click to embiggen...
And in the final corner, spring flowers, a profusion of color, and such smells... -- I am so ready for them. -- And the words, "LOVE YOUR HOME" which I've not learned to do yet, despite living here for so long...
Don't forget to check in with Jamie Ridler and see all the other Full Moon Dreamboards... And if you've made a dreamboard too, share it!

I am the Rain, the Bringer of LifeI'll get back to the rest of that corner in a moment...
I bring the moisture and ease all strife
I sooth the Earth -- I quench Her thirst
I nudge the seeds gently awake so they burst
Into full germination so they can sprout
I cleanse the Earth within and without
But that isn't all; I give so much more
I cleanse the spirit from aura to core
I inspire and unblock creativity flow
And bring physical energy to all I know
Mine is true happiness and pure delight
I bring the rainbow back in the Light

Full Moon Dreamboard
The Full Snow Moon asks:
“What desires lie deep within?”

Click to embiggen...
I used another old calendar page for this one, so right in the middle is an image by Christian Riese Lassen. I chose this one because it shows down deep in water, and it's teeming with life. Dolphins and whales and lots of colorful tropical fish and on the shore, an amusement park and a burning bright sunset... This image alone does a good job of representing the desires that lie deep within me: fun, play, abundance, family, passion... But the white space around the edges allowed for me to add more!
The DARE down the left top corner is a reminder for me to continue with my word of the year, DARE: Do it! Assert yourself! Risk failure! Experience success! The other words on the dreamboard are all self-explanatory.
The peony and spring flowers on the right represent my desire for SPRING and color, warmth and abundance, beauty and growth...
The kitty in the upper right corner, and the song along the bottom, as well as the painting of the fairy & bunnies near the lower left, are for my desire to have a small animal in my life again. I miss my Bunny kitty so much and I think I've never been without some kind of small furry thing for very long....
The woman in the lower right corner has the hair color & style that I hope to have soon.
The tub, oh to sit and relax in a tub! *Bliss*
And the colorful chandelier represents my desire for more colorful sparkly things in my life!
Sometimes we bury our dreams and desires deep within, as though hiding them under layers and layers of snow. Protecting them. Protecting ourselves. Waiting until the time is right for them to grow. Now is the time to tune into your heart, to let your intuition and your dreamboard express and reveal the dreams that are hidden inside. Let the creative process take you below the surface, beneath the layers of safety and protection, guiding you to the innermost dreams sparkling in your soul. ~ Jamie Ridler

Wishcasting Wednesday & Full Moon Dreamboard
Yesterday wishing prompt asked...
What do you wish to experience?
And the Full Sturgeon Moon asked...
“What is your intuition telling you about your dreams?”
And I believe the answer to both is the same for me...

This is a collage I created using images from websites of local shops that sell art on consignment and a few I found on flickr. My intuition is telling me that NOW is the time to get my stuff out to those shops, and that's is what I wish to experience. To be able to go into a shop, offer them my art, and have them say, "Yes! Please bring us more!" And to have that art sell to people who will adore it the way I do, and to be able to support my family from those sales.

Full Cold Moon Dream Board
This is my first time doing this; so I am not sure if I did it right, but I went with the prompt of "set an intention for how you would like to complete this year" and searched flickr for the photos I thought would best represent it. However, I should note that I didn't just put them in order here; I arranged them so they were aesthetically pleasing to me.
The first thing that came to mind was my relationship with my parents. I found a Daddy-Daughter pic and they're even looking out at a beautiful sunset over a warm body of water. Then I found a photo of a mother and daughter gazing into the future together.
I decided I wanted the center photo to definitely be something to do with the moon & dreams - and if it was purple? Bonus! And came across the center image here...
Then I remembered my disappointment from earlier today when the NYS Senate voted no on the same-sex marriage bill, and added an image of two brides on their wedding day. An image that not only symbolizes my hope for this so I can marry Jacqueline, and have her get all the privileges any other spouse would, but also the hope that my husband follows through with his promise to file for the divorce, instead of leaving me hanging in limbo waiting.
Then I thought of my need to finish this Chemistry course and pass in order to become a Science teacher. I found a macro of someone's homework that looks so much like mine! And a teacher who you can tell just loves his job, which is what I hope to find!
While searching for that, I stumbled across the balanced rocks, and thought they were perfect to symbolize the balance I am looking for in my life. Between school and work and love and play... the sun is there symbolizing joy and happiness, and the rock and water are symbols of *me*...
I also found a picture symbolizing polyamory, two women and a man, something I also hope to make reality someday.
Last but not least, in fact perhaps most important, the child drawing, so intent on the creation, the flow of color, that the photographer is unnoticed. This is the artist within me, the one I hope to nurture and cherish, and never push aside for "more grown-up" activities...
