I just want to let you all know, since I may not have made it clear, that you do not have to do a major fancy work of art. Just a simple 5-minute sketch, something to get you drawing, is all... So don't be scared to show off the roughest of your drawings!

And you can link to any place you're comfortable uploading your drawings to, flickr, deviantart, your blog... Mr. Linky doesn't care!

It may come as a shock to you, but I love rabbits. In my late teens I adopted a friend's rabbit when he could no longer take care of it; then another friend asked me to take his as well, swearing up & down that it was a boy too. OF COURSE it turned out to be a girl and soon there were fuzzy baby bunnies bouncing around the house.

Despite being attached to them all, I knew that I couldn't properly care for even the first of the bunnies I had taken in, so I found someone to adopt them all. At the time I was naive and uneducated about rabbits, and am not sure if they went to the best home. Later I adopted yet another unwanted bunny who remained with my mother when I went off to college.

When I moved into my own apartment, I got involved with the House Rabbit Society in the area and fostered several rabbits over the years. I remember them all very fondly and miss having a rabbit around the house, but I know that at this time, we don't have the room or money to care for a house rabbit the right way. However, I still try to educate people about proper rabbit care, advise them to seriously consider all that goes into it, and then to adopt from a shelter or the HRS in their area.

More Catch Up!

I have been going through the files of images on my computer, and wasn't going to use these, but I *really* want to share them, and count them in my 365+ Rabbits; so I am!

On the 29th & 30th I did a TON of creative & crafty stuff, including baking, making candy, decorating eggs, and even drawing!  Well, the drawing was kinda sucky, IMHO but I shall share nonetheless!

Buns.... get it...???  XD Ha ha ha!

Was this a pinterest fail?  Well, if we had been expecting something like this, then yes, total fail.  However those are made from pastry dough, not Jacqueline's delicious dinner roll dough; so while they weren't exactly as planned, they *did* make us all very happy.

  I've been slowing down on these, life's been busy and even though I've been working through a lesson every day, I've not been passing them even after 5 or 6 tries.  But since you only get to make 3 mistakes before the lesson restarts, I figured I got through all the questions correctly at least once...  LOL!

This cold is progressing and befuddling my brain quite nicely.

  These lessons are most difficult to do.  I keep making typos and mistakes over & over and since I haven't been able to get through the lessons without making at minimum 3 mistakes, I've been redoing them over & over til I am too frustrated to continue.

Daily Dares: Days 71 - 73

I have caught the illness that swept through the house last week.  It seems like everyone got it and has had it forEVER, and now that they're healing up, it's my turn... -_-  Bleh.  I am behind on my creating, but up-to-date on my French, and catching up on the others...

  I actually made myself a notebook finally; so hopefully I retain more as I go along...

Daily Dares: Days 68 - 70

Crazy weekend, and I feel really discombobulated, disorganized, and disconnected...

Since this is the beginning of the 2nd week, I should recap my weekly dares, and see how we did...

• Make 4 phone calls, 2 scheduled, 2 random:
  Wow.  Epic fail.  None.  Not one.  Thanks to a comment left by acelightning, I've been ferreting out the reasons for my fears, but still need to push past them.


• Apply for 4 job, 3 school districts, 1 other:
  Oh yes, another fail.  I kept putting it off, and boom. Suddenly weekend of chaos and omg a new week! before I could blink it felt like...  I believe I will need to go back to having a sort of a list telling me wha needs doing each day...

And my dailies....

• Pass one French lesson on Duolingo and Memrise each every day
  Wow, I have no idea how I managed to do it, but I did!  Two French lessons each day!  o.O  Got them done early in the morning Saturday, and Sunday night, half dead, it took me soooo many tries!  Today took lots of tries too.  I think it's best when I work in the morning, instead of waiting until the evening; also, I *really* should get out that notebook!

  On Saturday night we were away from home babysitting the grandbabies until very late, and this little sketch was done with a squirmy little girl who did *not* want to go bed resting on my lap...

The sun was wonderful today!  And I did some cute sketches for my painted ornaments... ^-^  Here's the DAREs:

  Took me many times to get through my Duolingo today.  Mostly I kept entering the spaces before the final letters of words then hitting enter before checking what I typed was right... :\  But still pronouns are a bit confusing.


• Create each day
  Again nothing finished but my finger nails for the St. Patrick's Day Parade tomorrow.  (I have no idea why it's a week before it SHOULD be; apparently the city of Syracuse, instead of containing the drunken debauchery to just one weekend, is allowing it to stretch for a whole 9 days... *insert-eye-roll*)  However, I did work on the ornaments today...

Today was a slow day... I painted some, I drew some, I studied some... Oh and I bleached my roots!  LOL!
