Photo Friday: Autumn Color
HA! How ironic that this should be the topic... This past week or two I have literally spammed my Instagram with pictures of mostly just my yard and the gorgeous fall trees there! XD So follow me there (or just click through to flickr) and see all the others I've posted!
This one I took special this morning just for this week's Photo Friday...

Day 30 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days
Day 30. September's over. Time to wake Billie Joe Armstrong up! XD
Gods, I'm sorry... I couldn't help it...
(And in case you have no idea why this is funny, click here.)

Day 29 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days
Another curious French sentence. One must be careful about which preposition you choose or you could be meeting in the wrong place!

Day 28 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days
On Day 28, my_rabbit_account posted this adorable photo of her rabbit, Alwin, and I couldn't resist trying to capture that adorabibble nose! I am *not* happy about the whiskers, but I am glad I tried... More practice!

Day 27 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days
On Day 27 I spent much of the day half-asleep fighting off a minor cold. I found this quote and thought is very appropriate. I'll be using it soon in a larger piece.

Day 26 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days
Day 26 was the last day of what was probably my favorite job ever. I loved the people I worked with, the job was mostly fun, and the hard/boring bits weren't that hard and were few and far between. This little bunny reflects my feelings...

Day 25 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days
On Day 25 I found myself on the beautiful campus of Clarkson University wandering the woods where we came across the cutest little snake. Later research determined it to be a juvenile Eastern garter snake, probably terrified by our group! It inspired this painting...
This one is the scan. Again, the colors are pretty true, but the metallic color in the eye is missing!
Which is why I include the photograph as well. I cropped it closer and the colors are darker, but you really can see that shine!

Another angel on Day 24. This one is MUCH closer to what I was looking for; I hope my friend likes it!

Day 23 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days
On Day 23 I tried another angel for my friend. Again, it's not how I had hoped it would come out, but still pretty! The scanner made a horrible mess of it, so a photo will have to do!

Day 21 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days
Day 20 was Sunday, and we took the girls to church. In the social hall, there was a very sad arrangement of balloons stuck in the crossbeams. (Click here to view my photo of them on Instagram!) So I decided they needed to be in a happier arrangement, and voilà !

Day 16 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days
Day 16 was a very rainy morning, but turned out rather nice in the end. The painting took nearly 2 weeks to finish and didn't come out quite as I had planned, but I suppose that's the nature of art!

Day 15 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days
On Day 15, two monarch butterflies hatched from their cocoons and were loose in the office. With my co-worker's assistance, I gently led them to the door and we watched as they flew free, from Mexico, NY to Mexico City...

Day 13 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days
If you follow me elsewhere (facebook, instagram, twitter...) you might know that I am learning French through Duolingo, and they often throw strange sentences at me to translate, which often lead to me drawing something silly. Day 13 found me translating this....

Day 7 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days
On Day 7 we returned to church after a summer away to take part in the annual Ingathering Water Ceremony in which people in the congregation bring a small bit of water from (or to symbolize) a place visited over the summer. I kind of envisioned us all as water drops, coming from all over, with all our different experiences and beliefs, flowing into and through the Unitarian Universalist community, and back out into the world spreading the principles...

Oh and I've gone back and uploaded a scan of my image from day one! Click here to view!

52-Week Photo Challenge: Week 52
Hello, my fellow creative photographers!
Welcome to the FINAL week in my 52-Week Photo Challenge!
Can you believe we made it this far? I can't! Hooray!
By this time next Sunday, I'll try to have a list of all the challenges in a nice image format for you all to pin or share however...
So on to this week's challenge! It's NIGHT!
Wait for the sun to set and get creative with your camera! OR find another way to interpret the challenge!
Here's mine:
Click to embiggen! Since I've been using my tablet, I couldn't do some of the *really* creative ideas I had, but I love how I was able to edit this and upload it right from the Nexus! The reflection of the sky on the way was so pretty; getting the flowers in the shot was the only hard part!
So how about you? How will you interpret this challenge?

52-Week Photo Challenge: Week 51
Hello, my fellow creative photographers!
Welcome to another week in my 52-Week Photo Challenge!
Can you believe there is only one more week after this one!? I can't. I didn't think I'd make, but woo-hoo!
Anyway, on to this week's challenge! It's EIGHT
Make EIGHT the focal point of your photo or have EIGHT be the overall theme in your photo. A street sign, address numbers, or maybe a group of EIGHT items...?
Here's mine:
Click to embiggen! Nope, neither of them turned 8, but together there were 8 candles on the cake! (Benji turned 5, and Kuromi turned 3!) And there was approximately 8 seconds too much singing for Benji! XD
