Did you know that tomorrow marks the 20th anniversary of the Mars Observer launch? In all the recent hubbub of the Mars Rover Curiosity, it's easy to forget all that has come before...
Welcome back to another Mosaic Monday Bunday! Today's theme is all about...

Mosaic Monday Bunday
Welcome back to another Mosaic Monday Bunday! The end of this week begins the official season of fall here in the northern hemisphere and we've already noticed a marked decrease in the temperature and an increase in leaf color. Now is the time to frolic in the falling leaves, cuddle into warmer clothes, and sip soul-warming beverages like hot chocolate and mulled cider...

Mosaic Monday Bunday
Welcome back to another Mosaic Monday Bunday! Usually MMB is a light-hearted look at some of the rabbity goodness that etsy has to offer, but today I'd like to take a moment to be more serious.
As you may be aware, tomorrow marks the 11-year anniversary of the September 11th attacks. No, I didn't know anyone there, but I still watched horrified at the images steadily supplied by the media. I will never forget what happened, and to this day, the images still bring tears to my eyes and a lump to my throat.
So today's Mosaic Monday Bunday is a memorial to all who lost their lives that day.

Back to School
I know I mentioned this last week, and it's been coming through in my twitter feed, but I just wanted to mention again, about the series the Queer Etsy Street Team is doing to offer some hope to LGBT youth heading to high school or college and afraid of possible bullying. Our next story was posted this morning, and more are scheduled to post weekly through October which is LGBT History Month and includes National Coming Out Day (October 11) and Spirit Day (October 19).
Please pass this link on to as many people as possible; we want this message to get through to the ones who really need it...

in honour of the fact that life is short
wear your white shirts. get them pressed.
use your good dishes — everyday.
shave on weekends.
do not wait for special occasions.
do not tuck your best away in the drawers, in the back of the closet, in your heart.
don’t wait for holidays or invitations.
declare that your today is the special occasion.
call instead of emailing. (it feels so good to connect.)
go for coffee.
quit.
renounce your glory days. you’ve told all of those stories more than twice.
focus forward.
wear perfume for yourself. toss your only-wear-around-the-house clothes and let your good clothes graduate to around-the-house status.
intend to feel good all of the time.
write your book.
launch.
make great sex a priority. (this alone will make you more creative and free. on your death bed, you will think about all the great sex you had this lifetime.)
burn your to-do list.
write poetry. One a day.
make a point to be as encouraging as possible, as much as possible, to everyone possible.
don’t look back.
if you feel like you’re always failing, consider that this is part of being an artist. let it be a divine inclination. keep going.
enter.
leave.
eat real food.
often refuse to be in the presence of people who make you feel repressed, anxious, or pull your frequency down.
do not entertain haters.
send light to the haters.
give it away. you probably don’t need it and someone else does.
turn off the tv.
let it be easy.
burn candles. during the day.
fall in love. with yourself. with the person you’re with. with the persons in your orbit.
because no one is perfect, but you can let the love be perfect for the both of you.
because everyone — everyone — is a doorway to God.
because you can get there from here.
because life is short.

Back to School
I haven't painted my nails in a while... I did some damage to my thumb and my other cuticles got super dry and I didn't want to aggravate either with nail polish or anything; so I've been just lotioning and waiting for it all to heal. It's still not perfect, but with school starting this Wednesday, I really wanted to do something special. And here it is!

Ruled paper on my accent nail on the left, and a chalk board on the right, both with a matte top coat. The other nails are KhakiZING by Revlon on the left, Wing it Wine by NYC on the right (both on my pointers), tipped with China Glaze's Blonde Bombshell and a quick swipe of Sally Girl's Later over it all. It's hard to see in the pics, but Wing it Wine has a nice gold shimmer, as does the KhakiZING, which also shifts colors from green to purple, which you *can* kind of see in the photos. It's a nice fall palette... ^-^

Mosaic Monday Bunday
Welcome back to another Mosaic Monday Bunday! This week, Mosaic Monday Bunday falls on Labor Day, which in the words of the US Department Of Labor, "is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country." So we shall take a look at rabbits and work today, shall we?

So as we celebrate here with a long weekend and our final farewells to summer, keep in mind the little rabbits and the work they do to make our lives brighter... ^-^

Back to School
This month the Queer Etsy Team is doing a series of stories to give hope to LGBT student returning to school and feeling under attack. Please take a moment to read them and share them with as many people as you can; you never know where the person who needs to hear it most will be...
