Photo Friday: Autumn Color

HA! How ironic that this should be the topic... This past week or two I have literally spammed my Instagram with pictures of mostly just my yard and the gorgeous fall trees there! XD So follow me there (or just click through to flickr) and see all the others I've posted!

This one I took special this morning just for this week's Photo Friday...

INKtober 2014: Day 1 - 13

Yep! Now that Leslie Saeta's 30 Paintings in 30 Days is over, I'm doing INKtober! I'm really pushing myself out of my comfort zone doing these, but it's fun!

Day 30 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days

Day 30. September's over. Time to wake Billie Joe Armstrong up! XD

Gods, I'm sorry... I couldn't help it...

Day 29 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days

Another curious French sentence. One must be careful about which preposition you choose or you could be meeting in the wrong place!

Day 28 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days

On Day 28, my_rabbit_account posted this adorable photo of her rabbit, Alwin, and I couldn't resist trying to capture that adorabibble nose! I am *not* happy about the whiskers, but I am glad I tried... More practice!

Day 27 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days

On Day 27 I spent much of the day half-asleep fighting off a minor cold. I found this quote and thought is very appropriate. I'll be using it soon in a larger piece.

Day 26 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days

Day 26 was the last day of what was probably my favorite job ever. I loved the people I worked with, the job was mostly fun, and the hard/boring bits weren't that hard and were few and far between. This little bunny reflects my feelings...

Day 25 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days

On Day 25 I found myself on the beautiful campus of Clarkson University wandering the woods where we came across the cutest little snake. Later research determined it to be a juvenile Eastern garter snake, probably terrified by our group! It inspired this painting...

This one is the scan. Again, the colors are pretty true, but the metallic color in the eye is missing!

Which is why I include the photograph as well. I cropped it closer and the colors are darker, but you really can see that shine!

Day 24 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days

Another angel on Day 24. This one is MUCH closer to what I was looking for; I hope my friend likes it!

This one is the scan. It shows the whole thing and the colors are pretty true, but the shimmer & shine is missing!

Day 23 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days

On Day 23 I tried another angel for my friend. Again, it's not how I had hoped it would come out, but still pretty! The scanner made a horrible mess of it, so a photo will have to do!

Day 22 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days

Day 22 was the first day of fall! YAY! Today's bunny is enjoying a walk in an autumn wonderland! ^_^

Day 21 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days

Day 20 was Sunday, and we took the girls to church. In the social hall, there was a very sad arrangement of balloons stuck in the crossbeams. (Click here to view my photo of them on Instagram!) So I decided they needed to be in a happier arrangement, and voilà!

Day 20 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days

I spent Day 20 at our local Pagan Pride Festival where there were lots of belly dancers. I do not know why, but it just seems to be that way!

Day 18 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days

On Day 18 I painted a little angel for a friend, but I wasn't quite happy with how the pencils turned out in the background...

On Day 17 I felt a little fishy! ^_^ Almost completely done with watercolor pencils...

Day 16 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days

Day 16 was a very rainy morning, but turned out rather nice in the end. The painting took nearly 2 weeks to finish and didn't come out quite as I had planned, but I suppose that's the nature of art!
