Wishcasting Wednesday

Who do you wish to hug?

Me asleep on my dad

I want to hug my dad. Over the past few years we've grown so far apart. I feel like I must be the biggest disappointment in his life, and I don't know how to get things back to the way they were before he got sick.

You can be a maker of magic and a tender of wishes. It’s easy. Answer the wish prompt on your blog and then add a direct link to your post in the box [at the link] below. Support wishes by visiting other participants, leaving a comment saying “As (insert name) wishes for her/himself, so I wish for her/him also.” It’s that simple. There is great power in wishing together.

Fall Impressions at Faerie Gardens

As summers humid oppressiveness wears thin, thoughts of fall’s cool breezes stir our souls. Here at Faerie Gardens, the change of seasons is always a time to both contemplate and celebrate. This year we will be doing both with our new Fall Impressions line. Featuring both original one of a kind pieces....

Shining Sun, Happy Rainbow Sherbet, Sweet Cupcake, and Geek Atom

...and new custom orders with stamped or quilted impressions of those things that move us in the autumn season.

Made to your specifications!

These beautiful works of art are our way of sharing our joyful journey watching the leaves change, feeling the temperature drop, smelling the fallen leaves as we hear them crunch under our feet, and tasting the bounty of the autumn harvest in this colorful season!  Click here to visit Faerie Gardens now!

The Week in Photos: 08-12-12

This week was so full of good pics I couldn't choose just 7.  It didn't start so exciting; Sunday there was rain...

But Monday was an awesome day spent celebrating Benji's 3rd and Kuromi's 1st birthdays at Green Lakes State Park!

There were a million minicupcakes, and the best view; the kids all got to hang out, and we got to take a walk along the most beautiful lake; and best of all, we got lots of time to play with the babies!  ^o^

The rest of the week was pretty uneventful but a little buggy... XD

Looks it's my desk!  LOL!

A green leafhopper, a spicebush swallowtail, and a two-stripe grasshopper visit our Faerie Gardens!

Wishcasting Wednesday & Full Moon Dreamboard

Yesterday wishing prompt asked...
What do you wish to experience?

And the Full Sturgeon Moon asked...
“What is your intuition telling you about your dreams?”

And I believe the answer to both is the same for me...

This is a collage I created using images from websites of local shops that sell art on consignment and a few I found on flickr.  My intuition is telling me that NOW is the time to get my stuff out to those shops, and that's is what I wish to experience.  To be able to go into a shop, offer them my art, and have them say, "Yes! Please bring us more!"  And to have that art sell to people who will adore it the way I do, and to be able to support my family from those sales.

Pincurl Girls

Have you seen Jen Landis' Pincurl Girls?  They're adorable!  This one make me think of Lia when she was littler, wore her hair this way, and broke out dancing anywhere & everywhere (now she's more likely to start turning cartwheels)...

Dancing makes my soul sing

I originally found the site because someone somewhere mentioned the Believe in Yourself Bracelets.  You place the bunch of pretty beaded bracelets (jelly bracelets available for girls under 12) on one wrist; and when you catch yourself thinking a negative thought about yourself, you turn that thought around and move a bracelet to the other wrist.  I love the idea of a visual & tactile way to stop negative thinking and encourage positive thinking.

I Believe in Myself Bracelets in action

But it's the whimsical little girls that keep me popping back in to see what's new!  Jen has a whole line of inspirational art prints like the one at the top that just sing of love & support, and she even offers custom portraits of that special little (or not-so-little) girl - or BOY! - in your life...

Custom Portraits - A One of a Kind Gift

No matter which of Jen's products you choose - bracelets, portraits or prints, journals, and more - you can be assured that they all "offer a loving reminder that you are loved and you can do whatever you set your mind to!"

Visit Pincurl Girls at http://www.pincurlgirls.com/.

P.S. Jen is turning 40 this month and to celebrate she's giving *you* the present! Purchase a print or set of I Believe in Myself bracelets from now 'til the end of the month, and get one FREE!
